Charlotte Latin School’s Parents’ Council made a generous gift to the Vision2020 campaign during the foundational phase of fundraising. As such, they received the special opportunity to name a space on campus that held particular meaning for all involved.
On February 5, the Parents’ Council, led by 2018-19 president Katharine Cowan, held a dedication ceremony in honor of retiring Headmaster Arch N. McIntosh, Jr. They spent time in the garden just outside of Fennebresque Hall and the Headmaster’s Office, which was named for Mr. McIntosh. The parent volunteers worked with a landscape designer to transform this space into a meaningful spot on campus where one can sit and reflect. Stepping stones featuring Mr. McIntosh’s previous school themes line the walkway. Many past Parents’ Council presidents joined the celebration alongside Mr. and Mrs. McIntosh and several Charlotte Latin colleagues.
Stay tuned to the Spring issue of LATIN Magazine as the Parents’ Council pays tribute to Mr. McIntosh.
