On Sunday, August 16, 2020, Charlotte Latin hosted an intimate dedication gathering to honor a special teacher and celebrate the impact of a Latin family.

Through a generous gift to the school, an anonymous donor and her family honored Upper School English teacher Maria Klein, acknowledging the many grateful students who have been inspired by Ms. Klein’s teaching. Head of Upper School Lawrence Wall spoke of Maria’s dedication to teaching and also noted that the philanthropic support of our Latin families has been transformational for teaching and learning in our Upper School.

A plaque recognizing the gift and Ms. Klein hangs outside of room 908, a collaborative classroom in the Inlustrate Orbem Building, made possible by the Vision2020 campaign. The donor shared her gratitude for the impact Ms. Klein has had on numerous students — past, present, and future.
