Not rain, snow or ice could keep more than 60 Hawks from joining a special celebration at Board Vice Chair Denny ’90 and Brian O’Leary‘s home on Thursday, February 20. Hosted by the O’Learys, Board Chair Thad Sharrett ’89, and Head of School Chuck Baldecchi, this Latin Alumni Celebration brought together the school’s ardent alumni supporters, which spanned the class years from 1975 through 2015.
Together, we celebrated the many accomplishments of Latin’s alumni.
Chuck Baldecchi shared his experiences meeting alumni in Latin’s 50th anniversary year, from the Oyster Roast celebration last fall to the most recent Learn@Latin event, which highlighted seminars from Nita Farahany ’94 and Bridgette Martin Hard ’97.
Alumni Governing Board members Daniel Nunn ’97, Chrissy Hunter Lucas ’04 and Paige Ford ’06 announced the addition of a new Lower School Scholarship, made possible by alumni through their generous support of the Latin Fund and the growing Alumni Endowment.
Last but not least, Thad Sharrett announced a special naming opportunity for alumni, as we officially kick off the Vision2020 alumni campaign. The evening celebrated the tradition of strong alumni support, closing with an invitation for all Hawks to continue this philanthropic legacy.
